Frozen Washcloths

Listen, sticking your head in the freezer is all well and good, but it just allows the ice cream to melt, and damn it, we need our ice cream!

So, take a couple of washcloths; you will want two (2), wet them, fold them up and shove them in the freezer. When you have a hot flash, take one out, unfold and place it on top of your head until cool.

Two are so you can alternate depending on how often you have hot flashes and when laundry day is.

Some of us have dozens of hot flashes a day.

Stand Up Fan With Water.

I am testing better ones as we speak.

This was one of my first purchases, and while they are cheap and don’t last, they work. It holds water, so you can add ice and make it super cold with the fan running, and then it’s just perfect.

I put it on a stand and have it blow directly at me at night. If it doesn’t work immediately when you turn it on, give it a whack, and it should start up again.

They need to make them rechargeable. This fan is bad for those with arthritis or bad hands if you want to use the water feature. I have seen these in Target and on Amazon.

Neck Fan

One of my bestest friends, Miss May (actually Mrs but that’s besides that point), bought me this.

Game changer, ladies. Rechargeable, lightweight, and rarely catches your hair, and I love it! The breeze is strong and has three settings.

The brand name of this one is JISULIFE.

It was purchased in Canada, and Amazon sells it.

SWEAT TOWELS

Just accept the fact that you need them. I have four standards, one to sleep on, one to wrap my head during the night, and two to wipe the sweat off.

Get soft ones.

Traveling With Menopause

In February, Hubby and I took to the road. What was supposed to be a three-week tour took two months. During this adventure, we had with us our two cats, and we crossed over 19 states and two countries in all types of weather. From Florida to Pennsylvania, Seattle, Canada, California, and lastly, Hawaii.

May I give you some advice?

******Don’t travel with menopause******

It’s not a reasonable suggestion, but it is my suggestion to you.

Stay home where you are comfortable!

But if you cannot stay home,

for the love of Pete, take everything you need.

This is the one time when overpacking

will be to your benefit.
