Menopause and the Real World

In a previous article I wrote about Menopause and the Workplace. That article was based on the last workplace I knew, and I only knew office jobs. How ignorant of me and I sincerely apologize to those that have way harder jobs than I have ever had.

I cannot touch on all of them but if any of the ladies in these professions have something to say about menopause in the workplace, speak up.

Nurses and doctors, cooks and waitstaff, anyone in the hospitality industry, those in construction and jobs outside. You can’t all be on HRT so how do you deal with menopause at work?

Do you carry fans? Have 10 layers of clothes nearby in case you get hot or cold or sweat through a set? Do OTC products work for you? (Please, no brand names).

You get these moments during the day where anyone and anything that gets in your way is nothing less than maddening.

How are you taking care of yourself through this?
